Serbia - Čibuk 1 Wind Farm Project
Vetroelecktrane is developing and executing, together with their major shareholders Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company-Masdar and Continental Wind Partners (CWP), a wind farm consisting of 57 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) of 110m hub height and 2.8 MW rated power, 86 km 35 kV cables, main transformer station (35 kV/400 kV; 2x 90 MVA), 11 km double circuit 400 kV OHL and corresponding infrastructure. The consultant has been appointed by the client to manage the project as owner's engineer, providing Project Management Consulting Services (PMC) and site supervision services (including design review, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, start-up and testing) as well as technical advice and support during negotiations with third parties. The scope includes the following work packages:
- Work Package 2a: Engineering Services
- Work Package 2b: Construction Management and Site Supervision
- EDMS: Electronic Document Management Services

Haiti - Construction of a Modern Dispatching
This project constitutes Component 3 of the new investment programme for the energy sector in Haiti (PRELEN), which is supported by the major donors active in the sector. It aims at assisting EDH in the technical field; more specifically in the construction of a modern dispatching.
The existing dispatching was built in 1981 and manages the 115 and 69 kV levels on the generation and transmission side and the 12.47 kV level on the distribution side. The monitoring and dispatching of the network presently is done through permanent surveillance of the system frequency plus by means of radio communication with the substations operators and the power plants.

Western Balkans - Regional Feasibility Study for Voltage Profile Improvement
The project is part of the overall framework contract 'Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) - Infrastructure Project Facility - Technical Assistance 7 (IPF 7), Infrastructures: Energy, Environment, Transport and Social' which has been awarded to a consortium of nine European firms under the leadership of Hill International. The purpose of this framework contract is to support the preparation and implementation of priority investment projects to be financed by a combination of grants and loans in the environment, energy, social and transport sectors, up to a maximum budget of 20,763,400 Euros.
The Regional Feasibility Study for Voltage Profile Improvement aims to:
- Identify the causes of excessive steady-state voltages beyond normal designed values
- Develop a methodology to find an optimal solution including location and technical solutions of equipment to be installed
- Define and agree criteria for choosing the optimal solution for the whole region
The lead IFI of this subproject is Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).

Congo (DR) - 220 kV Line Ruzizi - Goma (DR Congo Part)
Phase 1 of the study includes a feasibility study, the detailed design and the elaboration of the tender documents for the construction of approx. 169 km 220 kV line Ruzizi - Goma. It also covers the environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) as well as the elaboration of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP).
The detailed scope of works includes:
- The new transformer substation Buhandahanda
- Additionally, the 220 kV line between the terminal tower at Goma substation and the new substation Buhandahanda (93 km).
Furthermore, the project comprises the selection of contractors and supervision of the above-mentioned construction works (Phase 2).

Burkina Faso, Mali - Feasibility studies of solar
The WAPP and the Governments of Mali and Burkina Faso are looking for a Consultant to carry out two technical and financial feasibility studies based on the “Plug & Play” solar park concept in Burkina Faso and Mali. These studies will also aim at defining the optimal strategy for the phasing of the construction of the solar parks with the consideration of storage batteries and their connection to the transmission network. Moreover, these studies will diagnose and evaluate the investments for the reinforcement and modernization of the National Dispatch Centre in view of the integration of solar production.

The present project is part of this overall programme; the line is constructed to connect the 185 MW Shuakhevi and the 150 MW Koromkheti Hydropower Stations to the national grid. The line will have a length of approx. 150 km.
