Myanmar - Rural Electrification Programme Component I SHS (REP I)
In the framework of the Rural Electrification Programme - Component I SHS (REP I), financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW, the development objective of the project is to improve the access to clean and sustainable energy for the rural population in three districts of the Southern Shan State aiming at supporting the implementation of the National Electrification Plan of the Government of Myanmar.
The main objectives of the activities under this project are to:
- support the client (DRD) in the successful implementation of the programme
- strengthen and institutionalise DRD’s capacity to promote sustainable, off-grid electrification in rural areas through renewable energy sources
Important success factors of the programme are, among others: (1) 23,000 households have access to electricity at least four hours per day in 2022; (2) Solar systems produce at least 1.8 GWh/a in 2022; (3) support in setting up a sustainable battery recycling system as of 2022.

Zimbabwe - Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)
The Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe (GoZ) has received Grant funding from the African Development Fund (ADF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to eligible payments under the contract for preparing Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) package reports for the following projects:
- Haven-Gokwe 132kV transmission line and Gokwe132/33kV substation;
- Tokwe–Masvingo 132kV transmission line and Masvingo 132/33kV substation; and
- Sunway City - Dema 132kV transmission line and Sunway City 132/33kV substation
Our task is production of comprehensive ESIA reports which meet the requirements of both the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the abovementioned proposed projects
intec's services
- Review and update the existing ESIA reports for the projects and align them to the format and standard required by (EMA) and AfDB
- Identify, assess and rank potential environmental and social impacts of the projects, filling in information/data gaps that exist in the current reports in terms of the biophysical, socio-economic and cultural and heritage sections
- Identify all potential significant adverse environmental and social impacts of the projects and recommend measures for mitigation;
- Incorporate: gender issues in the project area, climate change issues, environmental aspects and hazards in the project areas and how they can affect the transmission lines, cumulative and residual impacts associated with the projects ;
- Prepare an an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), and a Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for each of the projects in line with national requirements as well as those of the African Development Bank Groups ISS Policy Statement and Operational Procedures

Guinea - Implementation of the National Dispatching
The general objective of this project is the monitoring and control of costs, of the quality and the time schedule of implementation works. The project includes all site works for the the National Dispatching Centre implementation. Following EDG's long-term master plan, the National Dispatching Centre shall integrate transmission lines at the level of 60 and 110 kV. The project has been interrupted due to the Ebola epidemic and new financing.

Georgia - 220 kV Overhead Transmission Line Akhaltsikhe - Batumi
Georgian State Electrosystem JSC (GSE) is undertaking the 'Transmission Grid Strengthening Project' which includes measures to improve the availability and reliability of GSE's transmission infrastructure. The present project is part of this overall programme.
The line is constructed to connect the 185 MW Shuakhevi and the 150 MW Koromkheti Hydropower Stations to the national grid. It will have a length of approx. 150 km.

Serbia - Čibuk 1 Wind Farm Project
Vetroelecktrane is developing and executing, together with their major shareholders Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company-Masdar and Continental Wind Partners (CWP), a wind farm consisting of 57 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) of 110m hub height and 2.8 MW rated power, 86 km 35 kV cables, main transformer station (35 kV/400 kV; 2x 90 MVA), 11 km double circuit 400 kV OHL and corresponding infrastructure. The consultant has been appointed by the client to manage the project as owner's engineer, providing Project Management Consulting Services (PMC) and site supervision services (including design review, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, start-up and testing) as well as technical advice and support during negotiations with third parties. The scope includes the following work packages:
- Work Package 2a: Engineering Services
- Work Package 2b: Construction Management and Site Supervision

Moldova - Construction of 400 kV Vulcanesti - Chisinau Overhead Transmission Line
The project included the construction of the 400 kV transmission line connecting Vulcanesti Substation to Chisinau Substation and upgrading of the Chisinau and Vulcanesti Substations.
- The existing 330/110/35 kV Chisinau S/S was extended by a new 330 kV bay pertaining to 400/330 kV autotransformer and a new 400 kV bay for OHTL Vulcanesti - Chisinau.
- The 400 kV OHTL Vulcanesti - Chisinau with a length of 157 km, was made on single circuit towers, equipped with three bundle conductors and two earthwires, from which one is of OPGW type to permit optical transmission data.
The existing 400/110/35 kV Vulcanești Substation was extended by a new 400 kV bay for OHTL Vulcanești - Chisinau. In alternative, the OHTL will start from the new BtB Vulcanesti Station.
