Project Management Certification at intec
In order to further improve our quality and efficiency of services and to fulfill a growing demand by our clients, intec is professionalizing its approach for project management. In the course of this effort, a first batch of Project Managers have taken part in a training seminar in June 2018 as a first step for becoming a “Project Management Professional (PMP®)” certified by the Project Management Institute.
After intensive preparation Mr. Paul Freunscht (Project Manager in intec’s Renewable Energy Department) successfully passed the necessary exam as the first employee of intec in September 2018. Others will follow shortly.
The PMP certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is one of the most prestigious certificates in project management and has been named as the “gold standard” for project management certifications. After fulfilling the prerequisites (among others the PMP requires previous work experience as a project manager) to apply for the exam, candidates must pass the 4 hour exam (which is allegedly failed by around 50% of takers). Once certified, the certification holders must prove that they continuously attend training in the field in order to renew their certification every three years.
