intec is providing technical support for the Jigawa Energy City project
The African Development Bank (AfDB) board has approved the Phase 1 of the Sustainable Energy for Africa (SEFA) grant to support the implementation of Jigawa state "One Giga Watt (GW) Independent Power Producer (IPP) Solar Procurement Programme" and intec has been selected as the successful consulting company for this assignment.
The programme will assist the Nigerian government to achieve its national goals of reaching 75 per cent electricity access by 2020 and also to increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix to 30 per cent by 2030.
The main objective of the Consultancy services under this assignment is to complete outstanding detailed feasibility studies such as the energy resource/yield analysis and geotechnical survey as well as to implement the design of a masterplan for optimal site use of the entire 2,049.61 ha site.
