Operations of intec in Nigeria are represented by our wholly-owned subsidiary GOPA international Energy consultants Ltd (intecNG).
Our presence in Nigeria is defined by a combination of unique expertise in innovative and significant energy services coupled with financial acumen which facilitate the long-term planning and implementation of power projects both in the conventional and the renewable energy sector.
The main office is based in Abuja, while a nationwide network of project offices enables the provision of comprehensive on-site services to clients throughout the complete project cycle from initiation of project development to project completion.
Clients also benefit from the synergies resulting from the cooperation with the company GOPA-International Energy Consultants GmbH and other worldwide branch offices. The foundation of a global knowledge pool ensures support to clients and guarantees success by providing solutions, which are not only innovative but also cost-effective and functional. intecNG ensures complete customer focus as part of one of the most comprehensive packages in the field of energy services offered anywhere in Nigeria.
Our team of multidisciplinary professionals in Nigeria is composed, among others, of experienced engineers, economic and financial analysts, procurement and construction specialists, who provide a broad spectrum of highly qualified engineering and consulting services.
intecNG is engaged in various power systems’ projects as a consultant to multiple clients and has many successful projects that attest to its competence and the confidence displayed by the end customer. Notable end clients are “Niger Delta Power Holding Company” (NDPHCN) and “Transmission Company of Nigeria” (TCN, formerly PHCN) which are mandated with developing and operating the nation's energy transmission, in which intec has been involved since 2007 as the primary consultant for 330 KV transmission projects. The confidence of the clients in intec has been proven time and again by repeat orders.
intecNG is an early proponent of renewable energy, and its importance in the Nigerian Energy mix and has been involved with various government agencies and private sector players namely NEC, Federal Ministry of Power, Federal Ministry of Environment, (REA), NERC, World Bank, GIZ, amongst others. The projects are at both end of the spectrum from rooftop solar to the large-scale grid-connected PV Plants.
intecNG has also contributed to human resources development in the electrical industry through its various assignments for NAPTIN to develop technical as well as didactic solutions and train the trainers.intecNG rounds up its portfolio with services in sustainability as well with projects such as Abuja technology village to develop a sustainable technology cluster.
